What it means for the series
India won the first T20I in Lucknow by eight wickets behind Iyer’s maiden T20I hundred, so the series is now level. India kept the same XI for Ranchi, leaving Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on the bench again, and that decision will be watched closely after their bowlers conceded 252 in 18.3 overs.
