India’s youngest men’s international
Sooryavanshi made his India debut in the second T20I against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, on 4 July 2026, aged 15 years and 99 days. That made him India’s youngest men’s international cricketer, taking the record from Sachin Tendulkar. He made 14 off 10 balls, with two sixes, before Jos Buttler stumped him off Will Jacks, and England won by four wickets.
A record IPL 2026 and a World Cup final to remember
Sooryavanshi won the Orange Cap in IPL 2026 for the Rajasthan Royals with 776 runs, becoming the youngest batter to finish as the season’s top run-scorer.
Earlier in the year he played one of the great innings in youth cricket. In the Under-19 World Cup final against England in February 2026, he hit 175 off 80 balls, a record score for a final, as India won by 100 runs to take their sixth Under-19 title.
He first made headlines in IPL 2025. Signed by the Rajasthan Royals at 13 for Rs 1.1 crore, he hit a 35-ball hundred against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur on 28 April 2025, aged 14, to become the youngest centurion in IPL history.
