Asian Games 2026 Medal Tally: Final Standings and India’s Medals

China won the 2026 Asian Games medal table with 169 golds and 341 medals in total. India finished fourth with 85 medals: 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze. The 20th Asian Games were held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from 19 September to 4 October 2026, with 469 medal events across 43 sports.

Final medal table: top 10

Nations are ranked by gold medals first, then silver, then bronze. That is why Kazakhstan finished eighth with 84 medals, behind nations that won fewer medals but more golds.

India’s medal tally

India won 85 medals and finished fourth. India and Uzbekistan both won 21 golds, and India placed ahead on silver medals, 27 to 25.

India’s golds came from nine sports, led by archery with five. Boxing and shooting added three each, and India won both the men’s and women’s titles in cricket, hockey and kabaddi. Every Indian gold medallist, and India’s results sport by sport, are listed on our India at Asian Games 2026 page.

How the medal table is ranked

The Olympic Council of Asia orders nations by gold medals. Silver medals break ties, then bronze medals. Total medals do not decide the order.
